Baby Carbonaro #3 is a.....

We normally do a gender reveal get together when we find out.. but this year we are getting into the holiday season, so we opted out on it. We have known for a few days, but could not come up with a cute way to announce it. I mean you know I cant just say hey were having a ..... I have to do something cute and creative! 

Well we had an extra pumpkin at my mother n laws and we wanted to carve it with Charleston anyways - so I took advantage of it and used it to announce our gender! 

Now if you think I had a hard time trying to decide how to do the gender reveal you should of seen us trying to pick a name! Of course every name I liked, Richard did not. He likes the generic boring names (sorry not sorry), but I like something unique and personality. I mean my name is Bjana. lol. Finally we narrowed down a name..

Ready to watch me act like a lunatic? I don’t think I have been this excited in long time....

Richard and I weren't really expecting to find out the gender until April 16th, but were super stoked our nurse Tammy was able to sneak us in for a quick ultra sound while waiting for Dr. Fisher. I'm nervous going to the Doctor as it, and during our ultra sound it truly was quick. She literally turned it on - and like 2 mins later it was off. Im not sure how she saw anything. We had her write it down on a piece of paper so we could find out with everyone else. Richard was not very happy about it! :P

Of course we were all SUPER excited! I promise Richard was for the most part! I think he was a little disappointed at first.. Now we just have to decide on a name...

Gender Reveal PARTY

Last Monday I had my monthly doctor appointment and ultrasound at 18 weeks 3 days. We were pretty excited about this ultrasound because we were finding out the sex of the baby! Even know we knew the sex as we had the ultrasound tech check it at 12weeks. Its not always accurate at that time, but we couldn't hold out! Lol. Well the sex didn't change - so we were SUPER excited and cant wait to tell everyone!!

We had a cookout planned for Sunday at our house and had invited both our families for a gender reveal. Are family was pretty divided, half wanted boy and half wanted girl! Here is one of the ultrasound pictures. It was hard to get a good picture bc the baby kept moving around! So active!

Baby was measuring right on time. Heartbeat was very strong! After the ultrasound we met with the doctor. We chatted a little about upcoming things like the glucose test, talked about how we decided against all testing for genetic abnormalities and set up our next appointment. 

 

Sunday we cooked out and all our families came over. I think we had close to 20 people there.We had everyone chose between team boy or team girl! I even had a little poem out to help them decide! All that did was confuse them more! But it was so fun hearing all the debate!

After all the fun of trying to decide what we were having we decided to get the show on the road! 

This little girl is so loved already. The reaction of our family & closest friends was just amazing!

This is the day our ENTIRE family has been waiting for!

We wanted to do something fun and exciting to reveal the gender of our little gummy bear! We thought about doing a photo shoot, but thought a gender reveal party would be more fun because our family could interact with us.

Of course we didn't tell everyone right away..
